NeuLog Sensors

Dec 13, 2009

Neulog™ Sensor/Dataloggers

The Neulog range of over 30 new generation sensor/loggers has been designed for education using the best of modern technology.

Please view the Blog page for articles and videos on specific sensors.

Below is the first video in our series to show you just what NeuLog Sensors are capable of.

1st introductory video

The key attribute of Neulog™ is ease of use. Sensors can be plugged and unplugged easily and the software is intuitive and operates at the click of a button. Secondary school science teachers who have operated the system during demonstrations confirm its ease of use.

The other important aspect of Neulog™ confirmed at a number of local secondary schools is that it is well-priced.

The key features of the sensor/loggers are as follows

  • Each sensor is a microcomputer which can be programmed for remote use and a datalogger which can store the data collected
  • There are 3 main modes of operation
  • Online – sensor or a train of up to 50 sensors connected directly to the computer via a USB bridge

Train 300x153 NeuLog Sensors

  • Remote online – sensors connected online through RF (radio frequency) units attached to the USB bridge and to the sensor train along with a battery unit. Remote sensors can operate up to 30 metres from the computer.
  • Remote Offline – sensors are programmed while attached to the computer and then connected to the battery pack and taken as far away as required. Remote experiments are started by pressing the start button on each sensor. When experiments are completed the data is easily downloaded into the computer.
  • The Neulog™ software enables experimental duration from milliseconds up to 31 days and sampling rate to be programmed.
  • The software contains a number of data analysis functions and data can be stored and reloaded in the program and/or downloaded into excel for additional analysis.

Electronics Kits and Other Tools

Dec 11, 2009

Our experimental electronics kits teach students how advanced circuits work. Other tools allow students to perform experiments in the areas including telecommunications, robotics, wind and solar energy and controlled greenhouse technology.

Below are the specs of one of our most popular Modular Electronic Kits:-3712 Electronics Kits and Other Tools

The TPS-3712

Popular Electronics & Technology Training system

document Electronics Kits and Other Tools TPS-3712 (251.5 KiB)

Objectives

This course introduces the student to analog and digital electronic systems, based on a problem-solving approach. The student explores and implements various topics

such as: Switches and sensors, driver and electrical consumers, gate applications,

timers, counters, system control, power regulation, amplifiers, measurements in

electronic systems, challenging exercises.

Description

The system is stand-alone, containing all the necessary electronics components

needed for performing the experiments.

The course is built for self-studying and experimenting, while the theory is integrated

within the experiments in a very unique way.

No previous scientific or technological knowledge is required, and the system is

eminently suitable for students from junior high school level and upwards.

Technical Characteristics

The system consists in independent modular boards that can be connected in different configurations to implement various applications with no fear of damage or failure in a system.

The system includes the following modules:

Sensors: Touch, wet, light, magnetic, temperature.

Loads: Lamp, motor, electromagnet, buzzer, relay.

Gates: AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR.

Latch.

Counter.

Timer.

Pulse generator

Driver.

Amplifier.

Potentiometer.
